These few steps will help you start minimizing the amount of wasted time.

Try aromatherapy

Aromatherapy and its soothing properties will make you think once more before the phone is in your hands. Place just a few drops of your favorite essential oils in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, then slide your palms over your nose and mouth, then take a few deep breaths. Such a simple method will allow you to turn off your consciousness from the goal that pushed you back to the phone.

Go out for a walk

Going outside will help you distract yourself and unwind, instead of grabbing your phone again. On a walk, you can just look around, slowly, and look at familiar trees with new eyes or just listen to the chirping of birds. A deep breath of fresh air will help you calm down and notice the beauty around, and not in the bowels of gadgets.
