A short film by Pedro Almodovar based on the play of the same name by Jean Cocteau. The main character, played by Tilda Swinton, froze in anticipation of her lover, who left her, but never returned to pick up her things and her faithful dog. Her loneliness interrupts his long-awaited call. Cocteau's play was filmed more than once: before Swinton, Anna Magnani and Ingrid Bergman played the main role - however, unlike them, the heroine of Almodovar is experiencing parting as a real woman of the new century.

On Thursday, Pioneer Cinema kicks off its special screening days, featuring the hoax director's major films, including his 1977 debut Eraser Head and the sequel to the cult series Twin Peaks: Fire Through. All films will be shown in English with Russian subtitles.

Alexander Tsypkin became seriously interested in the world of cinematography: the premiere of his new show #TsypKino took place on the YouTube channel of the writer and screenwriter, in which Russian directors present their short films. Ilya Tilkin became the hero of the first issue. For his film The Star, he wrote not only the script, but also the music. In an interview that followed the premiere, Alexander talked with Ilya about whether talent can always break through and whether it is right for a little-known actor to refuse roles that are not aesthetically close to him. On Friday at 20:00, “New Year's Eve with Diana Vishneva” will take place, during which the modern dance star will present the video project “2020” of the Context Festival and will show the one-man show “Woman in the Room” staged by Karlin Karlson. On December 19 and 20, the renovated Peredelkino House of Creativity, together with the Fairy Tales at Home project, will hold the first Storytellers Conference. The creators of fairy tales, experts in folklore, psychology and philosophy will gather to understand what new tasks are facing fairy tales, whether there are ethical norms for fairy spaces, what significance fairy tales play for the upbringing of the next, "environmentally friendly" generation. Topics include the role of women in fairy tales, issues of new ethics, the transformation of mythical archetypes and the practical implementation of new fairy tale scenarios. The conference will be held online (you can join here), and at the same time, fairy readings will be held at the House of Creativity, at which Evgenia Borzykh, Varvara Chirkina and Miriam Sekhon will read their favorite texts.

New Year's master classes at Novikov School
