Video: Twitter Permanently Blocked Trump's Account
The social network Twitter announced the final blocking of Donald Trump's account. This happened after the tweets of the President of America, which he published shortly after the storming of the Capitol, where Congress approved the victory of Joe Biden in the presidential election.
“After carefully reviewing the latest tweets from @realDonaldTrump, and the context they were posted, we have permanently blocked the account due to the risk of further incitement to violence,” the social network said in an official statement. Twitter also posted a detailed report on the Trump blocking on their blog. There, they parsed out in detail some of the tweets of the President of America and explained why they violate community rules.
Prior to that, on January 7, Twitter had already blocked Trump's account, but only for 12 hours. Then it happened because of the president's tweets that the votes in the elections were stolen. The social network promised to permanently freeze the account if this happens again - and kept the promise. Donald Trump's accounts have previously been permanently blocked on Twitch and Snapchat platforms, and on Facebook - at least until the end of the presidential term. The US Congress is currently discussing the issue of impeachment of Trump.
