There is no less (and in many ways and more) useful oil - camelina. The name of the product may be a little misleading, but mushrooms are not used as raw materials for oil. It is prepared from the seeds of the plant of the same name, which has many medicinal properties. We will tell you why you should pay attention to camelina oil.

Rich in vitamin composition. Camelina seed oil is a storehouse of vitamins. It contains vitamins A, D and E - powerful natural antioxidants that protect cells from free radical damage, stop inflammation, remove toxins from the body and strengthen the immune system. In addition, here you can find rare vitamins K and F, which, despite their less popularity, are responsible for the normal course of many body processes: they strengthen bones and tissues, prevent vascular calcification, which ensures the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

High in healthy fats. There are three types of omega fatty acids: omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9. And there are practically no products that would contain all three. However, camelina oil is just such a product. The omega-fat complex strengthens and ensures the normal functioning of all body systems: from the brain to digestion and physical activity. Apart from these three acids, the oil contains stearic acid. It can often be found in cosmetics, it deeply nourishes the skin and has a rejuvenating effect.

Irreplaceable trace elements. Camelina seed oil is rich in phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron. Needless to say, how important these micronutrients are for the proper functioning of the brain, nervous function and heart. Regular consumption of the oil prevents cardiovascular diseases, improves concentration, attention and memory and helps fight stress, which is enough in our daily life.

Camelina seed oil has a pleasant smell and a slightly bitter taste. It is good to add to vegetable salads, boiled cereals or hummus and cream soup. It is less suitable for frying than, for example, olive, because under the influence of high temperatures the bitterness increases, but, to tell the truth, frying something in oil is generally not very useful. In addition to cooking, the oil can be used for home hair and skin care as a stand-alone product or mixed with other ingredients.
