Last weekend in Vyksa, the opening of the "Season of Erik Bulatov in Vyksa" and the largest work of the artist - frescoes with an area of 2.5 thousand square meters took place. meters on the wall of one of the workshops of the Vyksa Steel Works. The industrial art park and the city itself are being transformed within the framework of the Art-Ravine festival, which this year comes under the direction of Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich.
The idea to invite Erik Bulatov came from the new curatorial team of the festival in March, the OMK-Uchastie charity foundation supported it. Negotiations with the artist about the project and discussion of the sketch of the future fresco took place against the backdrop of a raging pandemic and closed borders. The application of the fresco - and in it you can recognize two of Bulatov's works at once, "Stop - Go" and the relatively recent "Barn in Normandy" - began symbolically on the author's birthday, September 5. It took 20 days to create it, 6 artists and 400 liters of paint. In the evening of October 3, the result was presented during the performance "Machine Rhapsody", directed by Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich and Svyatoslav Ponomarev.

Erik Vladimirovich himself with his wife and muse Natalya also flew to Vyksa for the opening, where he saw the work live, talked with young artists and attended a gala dinner given in his honor by Anatoly Sedykh, chairman of the board of directors of United Metallurgical Company JSC and Irina Sedykh, chairman Of the Board of Trustees of the OMK-Uchastiye Charitable Foundation. The guests of the event were also the Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale K. Terracciano with his wife, Andrey Malakhov, Svetlana Bondarchuk and Sergey Kharchenko, Mikhail Zygar and many others.
