Last month Gucci announced a collaboration with American director Gus Van Sant. The brand's official Instagram account then posted several posts with the hashtag #GucciOuverture, including a Polaroid photo of Van Sant with the brand's creative director Alessandro Michele. Details of this collaboration were revealed today. It became known that within its framework a new collection of the Italian House will be presented. Van Sant and Michele filmed 7 episodes of the film together, which will be presented at the online GucciFest. It will take place from 16 to 22 November. All parts of the new film were filmed in Rome. They will feature House friends wearing a new collection, including singer Billie Eilish, singer Harry Styles and Florence + the Machine lead singer Florence Welch. GucciFest will be the start of a new off-season course, which Alessandro Michele announced last year. The creative director of the House decided to abandon the traditional fashionable calendar of shows and presentations and release only 2 collections a year. The Epilogue's latest cruise collection was unveiled online in July, closing an old chapter in Gucci history.

All 7 episodes of #GucciOuverture will be streamed daily on the brand's YouTube channel on Weibo and on the dedicated GucciFest.com website. Every day for a week, a new collection will be revealed in parts. Also, during the festival, mini-films about 15 young designers will be shown, who were personally selected for participation by Alessandro Michele. In this way, the Italian brand wants to provide support for up-and-coming talent.
