1. Drink plenty of water

The biggest misconception is that edema is formed due to an excess of fluid in the body - the opposite is true. If our body is dehydrated, and we do not give it enough water, it makes every effort to retain at least the liquid that is. Hence, its delay in the body. Dealing with this problem is extremely simple: you need to keep track of how much and what you drink. Doctors recommend drinking 30 ml of liquid per 1 kg of body weight, that is, an average of 2-2.5 liters per day. However, two liters of liquid means two liters of clean water. Tea, coffee, juices and soft drinks do not count - on the contrary, they only dehydrate the body, so you should not abuse them.

2. Do not overuse salty foods

Salt holds fluid remarkably well, preventing excess fluid from leaving the body. It remains only to control the amount of salt consumed. You can eat a bucket of popcorn at the cinema once or taste salty delicacies all evening, but as an exception to the usual regime. On a daily basis, you need to monitor the amount of salt consumed in order to avoid the appearance of discomfort.

3. Don't drink sugary alcohol

Alcoholic drinks are in principle one of the main causes of puffiness, but when they combine alcohol and sugar, the threat doubles. Beautiful multi-colored cocktails, which contain solid liquors and syrups, are a sure way to terrible edema. 4. Eliminate fast carbohydrates
