Video: We No Longer Need To Wear School Uniforms - But Something Is Worth Borrowing
Every September 1, even those who graduated from high school and have not yet acquired school-age children recall the wonderful - or not so - school years. And about the school uniform. About her, perhaps, more often without nostalgia: obligation kills in many love for the preppy style - but in vain. After all, many elements of a school uniform work great in an adult wardrobe. And, as a bonus, at the same time they correspond to the current trends of this fall. Which ones? Let's tell!
Not everyone had vests part of their school uniforms, but they appeared in every series about school. Maybe not about an ordinary regional school, but about a private institution - where all the students and schoolgirls look like models. And this fall, such vests are becoming fashionable. This is not entirely a surprise: after all, Alessandro Michele has already accustomed us to the look of knitted vests in a campaign with long skirts, colorful shirts and big glasses - it was with his light hand that we still fell in love with library chic. But this fall, the looks with vests are simpler than Gucci stylists usually show. At Dior, for example, with their participation, standard school bows are obtained - plaid skirts continue the theme, while Lacoste bends a sports line. Although, thanks to plaid caps and gloves, it is easy to think that these are images for working in the garden - which is also in principle fashionable.
Large sweaters with a school or university emblem on the chest are already something of a classic. Yes, this is an integral part of the preppy style - and, yes, this fall they are also relevant. You can see examples, for example, at the Versace show.
Shirts with Tie
Shirt with tie - when was the last time you wore something like this? Perhaps never - ties are still considered men's accessories. Perhaps it's time to try: in women's collections this combination in the fall season came across to us very often.
Jacket and skirt - this is how, without unnecessary embellishments, the uniform looked (and looks) for most of the students in Russia. If you don't have an office dress code at work, then you might well have forgotten about the existence of two-piece suits, jumping off the school bench. Because there are not so many reasons to wear them in life - all the more, we managed to meet and love things that are much more versatile and convenient. But a couple of seasons ago, the two-piece suits returned as a trend: Edi Slimane was responsible for this comeback, promoting a "new bourgeois" style in the spirit of the 70s. Well, and in the new season, "two" from another decade - from the 40s are in fashion. And, to be honest, they don't look like school uniforms.
