Environmental friendliness is in trend today - which is not surprising, because the state of the planet worries each of us. Not only eco-activists speak about ecology, but also people from completely different spheres of life, and fashion is no exception. Every season, more and more brands are making the process of producing their things more environmentally friendly, while doing less harm to the environment. We collected 5 brands, both Russian and Western, that produce economical clothes.

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney was one of the first luxury brands to be concerned with environmental issues in apparel. Since the founding of the brand in 2001, it adheres to ethical principles: it does not use natural leather and fur, and also develops new materials that are less harmful to nature. Today, faux leather and fur substitutes in clothes from Stella McCartney are in no way inferior to natural ones.

Gabriela Hearst

Gabriela Hirst is one of New York's most influential designers, renowned for her elegant collections that emphasize the sustainability that is at the heart of the brand. Last September, Hirst hosted the first carbon-neutral show during New York Fashion Week. According to the designer, about 25% of her collections are created from “dead” raw materials - materials that could have ended up in a landfill before.

Vika Gazinskaya

The Russian brand Vika Gazinskaya also abandoned the use of animal fur from the very beginning. However, their mohair-like coats look one-to-one like the real thing. In production, she tries to adhere to environmentally friendly principles, and even launched the eco-friendly brand Vika 2.0.

NNedre

Another eco-friendly brand from Russia. All NNedre products are made from sustainable materials, and the company's employees sort all waste and try to minimize production residues. The brand is already 7 years old, and all this time it produces children's, men's and women's collections, adhering to the rules of conscious consumption, trying to work without overproduction.

Ksenia schnaider

Ukrainian brand Ksenia Schnaider is famous for its quality denim jeans. For their production, the brand is looking for vintage jeans and recycles it, creating its own products. It is impossible to find two identical models in the assortment of the brand - because the original vintage trousers are only in a single copy.
