The Prince Charles Foundation has launched a capsule clothing collection featuring young British and Italian artisans. This capsule is the result of a training program aimed at developing the skills of young textile craftsmen, combining British and Italian tailoring traditions and mastering modern digital tools. The capsule has already gone on sale simultaneously on Yoox, Net-a porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet. Thus, young aspiring talent was immediately provided with a platform with 4.3 million loyal customers! Agree, impressive support for those who are just at the beginning of their journey.
Yoox net-a-Porter Group Chairman Federico Marchetti described the project as follows: “This is the sum of all my work over the last 20 years, all my values, the importance of data, digital education and lasting luxury. So I put all my passion into it. Marchetti admitted that he and Prince Charles have a mutual friend, and this is what brought them closer together. Charles invited him to Scotland to see the results of his textile job creation program. Then they decided to launch the project together. The result is a capsule collection made entirely by hand from the finest English and Italian fabrics. Its release began back in April 2019, but was suspended due to the pandemic. Now she finally saw the light.
