The transition of Fashion Week to a digital format allowed fashion houses to show their imagination and make their most daring ideas come true. Gucci staged not just a show, but a whole performance that lasted 12 hours. The live stream from the backstage of the Epilogue advertising campaign in Rome at the Palazzo Sacchetti location started at 9 am Moscow time and will end at 9 pm.

The show of the Epilogue collection itself was shown in the form of a special video narration, the creative director of which was the permanent Alessandro Michele, and the director was Akinola Davies. Epilogue is the final part of the designer's trilogy. The story begins with the 2020 fall / winter show An Unrepeatable Ritual this February, when Michele will take viewers backstage. The second chapter was formed in May during the launch of the advertising campaign The Ritual, in which he allowed models to photograph themselves during quarantine at home. And in the third, the clothes were demonstrated by Gucci employees from the creative team who created them.

“The search began in February. Then I wanted to perform the magic ritual of the fashion show - a sacred and unique liturgy through which creative thinking becomes public and offers itself for interpretation by the community of emancipated viewers. I wanted to shed some light on what is hidden behind the scenes of this ritual. I played with a change of perspective, moving the central stage of my fellow travelers - that collective mind, inspired and sensitive, which makes the charm of beauty possible,”said Alessandro Michele about his idea.

In practice, the collection turned out to be eclectic in the best traditions of Michele: a bouncy mix of the beloved aesthetics of the 60s, 70s, floral hippie prints, combinations of textures and large accessories. This is what we love Gucci for.
