After Elbaz's resignation in October last year, Lanvin has been looking for a worthy designer for almost six months. For some time, the House coped on its own, finding a replacement in its depths - for the latest collection presented at the just ended Paris Fashion Week, and pre-fall, only recently joined the team of Chemen Kamali and worked at Lanvin for a year, Lucho Finale, answered. However, it was obvious that these were only temporary measures.

Today, exactly one week after the Lanvin show in Paris, the Maison team announced that they are working with 45-year-old Bukhra Jarrar, a French designer of Moroccan origin. For the first time they started talking about it during Fashion Week, but only now the information has been officially confirmed: for example, the new designer will take up his duties next Monday, and in September we will see the first result - the spring-summer 2017 collection.

Previously, Buhra Jarrar worked at Balenciaga and Lacroix, and was also involved with her own brand Bouchra Jarrar, which was launched in 2010. Under it, the designer released prêt-à-porter and haute couture collections. The House of Lanvin has high hopes for her: Jarrar is expected to bring "harmony and consistency" to Lanvin's "female half".
