Today's show was the hundredth for Dries Van Noten. The Belgian's jubilee show turned into a real parade of supermodels of various castes. Whatever the way out is another podium star. Judge for yourself: Dries invited his favorites to the show: Amber Valletta, Nadia Auerman, Caroline de Maigret, Catherine McNeill, Caroline Murphy, Sasha Pivovarova, Vlad Roslyakov, Leah Kebede, Carmen Pedara, Hannah Gabi Odile and many others. Before us, as if one after another, several fashionable eras were replaced.
It turned out, however, that supermodels of both the bygone and the present days are equally suited to the uniting power dressing from the 1980s: "old-fashioned" furs in a natural palette, giant broad-shouldered coats, square jackets, turtlenecks and oversized men's trouser suits, consonant with what we saw in last weekend in Milan at the Jil Sander show. The collection's leitmotif has already become the traditional for Dries Van Noten colorful hand-drawn op-art kaleidoscopes in the Asian style, but this colorful hypnosis will not make us take our eyes off the impeccable timeless combination of a long black oversized coat, white T-shirt and blue denim. Or a white jacket, a black turtleneck and all the same blue jeans. Both are just variations of one thing - a kind of minimalist set, the basis of normcore and the most fashionable styling of the coming fall.
