Elizabeth II turned out to be a generous grandmother: despite the unplanned Megsit, she forgave her youngest grandson and continues to keep in touch with him (unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton). Today, April 21, Her Majesty modestly celebrated her 94th birthday at Windsor Castle with her husband. The Queen did not arrange lavish celebrations - for the first time in 68 years, Buckingham Palace decided to abandon cannon shots and other traditional attributes of the holiday.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined in congratulating the birthday girl: the couple talked with Elizabeth II via video conference in Zoom before the tea ceremony, and young Archie accompanied them. Moreover, our heroes did not officially confess their love for the queen on social networks: their Instagram account has been silent for several weeks.
Earlier, a source close to the court let slip that assistants helped prepare for the congratulations to Her Majesty: they installed Zoom on her iPad and showed how to use the application. The reigning monarch took calls, read messages and chatted via video all day, making her birthday "really special."
