Meghan Markle closely monitors her diet, she even managed to "infect" Prince Harry with good habits and wean him off unhealthy snacks. Take note of her simple and effective nutritional guidelines to help you avoid overeating during home isolation.

Breakfast is the head

Meghan Markle never skips breakfast. The Duchess of Sussex prefers to start the day with crushed oatmeal with banana and other fruits and New Zealand Manuka honey, pouring a glass of hot water with lemon juice over it. Megan's other favorite breakfast dish was an omelet with cheese, fresh herbs and toasted toast.

Vegetable weekdays

The Duchess of Sussex does not recognize dieting: “I am for balance. Since I exercise, I don't want to feel restricted in my food. Diets are temporary, but I choose a healthy lifestyle. On weekdays, Megan relies on fresh vegetables as the main food, and on weekends she allows herself to eat what her heart desires - in reasonable quantities, of course.

Fried chicken

Despite all the benefits of vegetables, Meghan Markle has always been partial to fried chicken. And now this dish has acquired special significance for our heroine: it was he who, together with Prince Harry, prepared for dinner, during which the grandson of Elizabeth II proposed to Markle.

Green smoothie instead of coffee

Megan found a replacement for coffee - much more useful and beneficial for the skin and emotional state. Instead of caffeinated drinks, Prince Harry's wife has been making herself a smoothie for many years, mostly with green ingredients: “It's easy to get hooked on coffee at four in the evening when the energy is on the wane. But in the morning I mix apples, kale, spinach, lemon and ginger and take the drink with me, this cocktail invigorates much more than a cup of espresso."

Signature dish - banana bread

The Duchess of Sussex has surely conquered Prince Harry with homemade cakes, and she has a signature dish - banana bread. Meghan even baked it during a visit to the Australian city of Dubbo in October 2018. And although Markle that day was worried that she had put too many bananas in the dough, everyone in the audience - including her husband - noted the delicate taste and aroma of the bread.

The bread recipe is simple:

1 cup sunflower seeds 1/2 cup

flaxseed

1/2 cup hazelnuts or almonds

1.5 cups oatmeal

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 teaspoon fine sea salt

4 tablespoons ground psyllium (Indian psyllium) husk

1 tablespoon maple syrup (or stevia)

3 tablespoons melted coconut oil (or ghee)

1.5 cups water

Mix dry and liquid ingredients separately, combine and knead to a stiff dough. Leave it for a couple of hours, preferably overnight. And then bake the bread for twenty minutes in the oven at 175 degrees. Turn over and bake for 30-40 minutes. Cool before serving.
