Video: Miu Miu Has Released A New Collection Of Recycled Vintage - It Includes Only 80 Dresses
The desire for environmental friendliness has long ceased to be just a necessity - and has become a full-fledged fashion trend. This time, Miu Miu also decided to support him with the release of a new unique collection of restored and recycled vintage dresses. The Upcycled by Miu Miu line includes only 80 items, each of which is unique, made in a single copy and numbered. It is built around precious unnamed finds, crafted between the 1930s and 1980s, and carefully collected from vintage clothing stores and markets around the world. Upcycled by Miu Miu dresses are presented in nine select Miu Miu boutiques in Moscow, Milan, London, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and St. Moritz.
All dresses from the collection have been hand-reworked and complemented with brand-iconic elements: embroidery, crystals, sequins, beads, ribbons and bows. Each piece is unique - they are handcrafted from vintage sources, so they cannot be repeated. Two outfits from this line have already been presented on the carpet of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards last fall - they were worn by actresses Eliza Visari and Chen Ran. Visari wore a reworked '70s orange cocktail dress that was complemented by faux pearl embroidery, Ran a' 30s red evening gown, to which was added a sequined collar and crystal embroidery on the puff sleeves in Victorian style.
