Italians are accustomed from childhood to abundance on the table. I have always loved good food. Ravioli, pasta with high-calorie sauces - already at the age of 6 I could safely eat a whole plate in one sitting and ask for more. Grandmothers and mothers in Italy, as well as in Russia, constantly want to feed their fill: not a single child has ever managed to escape from the dinner table with an empty stomach.

Eating behavior, as it is now fashionable to call it, plays a colossal role not only in relation to how a person looks, but also how he feels. The realization that I need to reconsider my diet and eating habits came to me several years ago. I often began to feel overwhelmed by a feeling of fatigue and lethargy, so at some point I began to seriously worry that this could negatively affect my career and personal life. Not to mention that being overweight is really hard, it is an additional load on the joints and spine. My family and my wife Olga supported me very much, which helped me lose 30 kilograms in a year!

I am very grateful to my nutritionist Ekaterina Burlyaeva. She selected for me an individual program for weight loss, taking into account the characteristics of the body. My nutritional program is flexible enough: I can add and exclude certain foods, adjust the diet depending on the circumstances. This is important, because food should be enjoyable and varied, otherwise any diet will end in failure. My diet includes all the necessary macro- and micronutrients, and this helps me not to overeat, because now I satisfy my hunger with healthy vegetables and cereals, and not "fast carbohydrates" (flour, sweet, etc.). Of course, this requires a lot of willpower. Sometimes I allow myself a little more, but at the same time I definitely arrange fasting days twice a week.

Of course, to keep yourself in good shape, proper nutrition alone is not enough. I have been boxing for many years - it perfectly develops coordination, burns calories, improves endurance and reflexes, and helps to throw out negative emotions. Now I am swimming and running. I noticed that due to physical exertion, sleep became deeper, in the morning I get up easily and always "on the right side." Hiking around the city, most often along the beloved Patriarch's Ponds, is firmly entrenched in my daily routine - walking helps to put my thoughts in order and refreshes after a working day.

I have come a long way from trial and error and realized that living a healthy lifestyle is much more than PP and sports. I had to get more organized to avoid skipping meals (I try to eat 5 times a day) and exercise. I found a balance in life: sport fits into my work schedule, and, what is important, it does not tire me, but energizes and inspires me to new achievements. I think the hardest part is figuring out how to incorporate good habits into your daily routine.

When I lost weight, my friends and even strangers began bombarding me with questions about how I did it. To share my experience and stimulate others to change their lives in a positive way, I created the UillToBe project - an online platform about a healthy lifestyle, where many aspects are covered: sports, cosmetology, travel, theoretical foundations of weight correction.
