Today, the world is celebrating Catholic Christmas, and Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have a difficult task - it is not easy to come up with at when you present it to the Queen herself. We hope that the duchesses still managed to choose the “right” presents, but for now we suggest remembering what British monarchs usually give each other for Christmas.
It turns out that our heroes are characterized by British humor: most often they give their loved ones trinkets with comic overtones. For example, when Prince Harry was single and had not yet met Sally … I mean, Meghan, Kate gave him the Raise Yourself Girl set, a female figure that grows six times in water. We are sure that her husband's younger brother appreciated this idea, but Middleton did not always manage to please with a gift: when she was just starting to enter the royal family, Kate gave Prince Harry's relatives “boring” cashmere sweaters, but then she quickly realized her “mistake”.
Not all fun trinkets are useless. For example, insiders claim that Princess Anne (the Queen's only daughter) presented her brother Charles with a white leather toilet seat. Tom liked thet so much that now he takes it with him on trips.
Until recently, Prince Harry was the most creative when choosing a present: it was he who suggested giving the Queen a shower cap (already strong!) With the inscription “Life, you’re a bastard” (we had to replace the last word with a more decent synonym). But now the palm has passed to his wife Meghan Markle: last year she gave Elizabeth II a toy singing hamster.
