Elizabeth II was often criticized by animal rights activists for the presence of natural fur in her images. And now a fashion revolution is coming in the United Kingdom: the British queen listened to the arguments and decided to abandon the inhuman approach to fashion. This was revealed by the personal fashion designer of the reigning British monarch Angela Kelly in her book The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Fashion Designer and the Wardrobe. According to Kelly, already in 2019, Elizabeth II will no longer appear in clothes with natural edging and even ordered to replace the fur of animals in her wardrobe with artificial analogues.
However, it is not yet known how the queen will deal with the ceremonial outfit: it has a purple mantle with ermine fur, which the monarch wears during official events.
