Very little is left before the start of the Cannes Film Festival, but the organizers traditionally give out information in portions. It is already known that the main jury of the festival will be headed by Pedro Almodovar, the opening film will be "The Ghosts of Ishmael" by Arno Deplechin, and the main program will include, among others, films by Andrey Zvyagintsev, François Ozon and Michael Haneke. The turn has come to announce the chairman of the jury of the festival program "Special Look
The program "A special look", the fate of which is to be decided by the actress, was founded in 1978. The original films of directors who have not yet achieved wide popularity take part in it. Special Look has 12 nominations and each prize-winning film receives support in the French box office. This year the program included 7 films. Who will have to judge them under the leadership of Thurman is still unknown - the full list of the jury members was not announced by the festival.
The 70th Cannes Film Festival will take place from 17 to 28 May.
