When Alessandro Michele announced the theme for the upcoming show, #GucciTheRitual, we thought it would be about good old magic. Witches, after all, have long been recognized as feminist heroines, many designers have played with their images over the past few years, and everyone would also not mind seeing the witch's coven in Michele's version. But the designer, in imagination with whom no one can compete, again deceived our expectations. He made a collection, of course, about magic - but about the magic of fashion.
Although fashion has become more utilitarian in recent years, there are still designers who turn it into a fairy tale. And there are more of them again - we are gradually returning to this type of spectator escapism. Michele, on the other hand, decided to show the public how this fairy tale is created, to demonstrate it from the inside out. That is, make the process of preparing for your show a part of the show itself. It sounds dangerous - it seems that this way the fairy tale can be destroyed sooner. But that did not happen. And while we can say with confidence that today's Gucci show is the most beautiful show of this season, which other brands will be hard to beat.
