Sad news spread around the world: the founder of the Hervé Léger brand, the famous designer and close friend of Cindy Crawford, Karl Lagerfeld and other celebrities, Hervé L. Leroux, passed away. During his colorful life, the couturier changed his surname several times, choosing, on the advice of Lagerfeld, first Leger ("light"), and then becoming Leroux when BCBG Max Azria bought out his brand.

His main designer creations were the famous bandage dresses adored by Dita von Teese, Gisele Bundchen, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively, Irina Shayk. According to legend, Hervé invented them in 1989 quite by accident: in thoughtfulness he was wrapping a mannequin with ribbons and suddenly realized that he was creating a dream dress for any female figure. It is not surprising that Cindy Crawford on her Instagram page recalls exactly this discovery of Leroux: “Now all my thoughts are about the man who created a bandage dress that will reliably pull your figure in the right places. Rest in Peace, #HerveLeger. We are confident that the legacy of the designer will not disappear anywhere, and in memory of him we remember the best outings of the stars in bandage and not only Hervé Léger dresses.
