More than an athlete: David Beckham has long been the perfect model of the modern man, recognized throughout the world, and a real magnet for photographers. Katie Adler, curator of the David Beckham: The Man exhibition and ex-director of the education department at London's National Gallery, is convinced of this. The idea behind the exposition of the auction house Phillips is being developed by the most powerful in the world of fashion photography: Stephen Klein, Terry Richardson, Inez and Vinood, Mert and Marcus … More than 50 portraits of their authorship reveal Beckham from different angles: according to the curator, he constantly challenges concepts of masculinity. However, this British athlete is always interesting to the world: whatever he is - in a sarong, in a football uniform or in a classic suit, and no matter how he looks - a modern Adonis with a perfect body and many tattoos or a loving and devoted father.

The photographs exhibited at Phillips can not only be viewed with passion, but also be purchased for a personal collection: on March 10, a charity gala auction will be held in London in support of the David Beckham 7 Foundations (in collaboration with UNICEF) and the Positive View Foundation. As the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for over a decade, footballer David Beckham says, "This wonderful project will help change the lives of children and adolescents in need around the world."
