In a little over a week, auction house Christie's plans to auction more than 500 works of art, which will be available for purchase in just five days. The undisputed favorite among them is the masterpiece of Amedeo Modigliani "Reclining Nude", the estimated cost of which, according to experts at the House, is more than $ 100 million. Reproductions of this painting, which originally belonged to the artist's friend and dealer Leopold Zborowski, were published so often in print that it acquired the status of a cult work of the 20th century shortly after its creation in 1917-1918. Subsequently, it was in the hands of the prominent Italian collector Gianni Mattioli, and has also been repeatedly exhibited in the largest museums in the world. Now the canvas, appearing on the market for the first time, will cause a serious struggle among the international circle of collectors. Who will win it will become known on the evening of November 9 at the thematic auction "Muse of the Artist", which includes, along with Modigliani, the iconic works of Paul Gauguin, Alberto Giacometti, Roy Lichtenstein and other masters of the last century, as well as works of contemporary authors - Jeff Koons, Chuck Close and Christopher Wool.

Morning, evening and midday series of auctions, covering the era of Impressionism and Modernism, post-war and contemporary art, or, as "The Artist's Muse", focused on a specific topic, will be held in New York's Rockefeller Plaza from 9 to 13 November. It's worth taking a closer look at the precious lots and identifying your favorites right now: those who find themselves in Manhattan in early November will be able to see them live at pre-auction exhibitions, perhaps for the first and last time.
