
Video: Bjork Will Take Part In The Moscow Biennale Of Contemporary Art

The names of the participants of the 7th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art were announced today. This year, it was prepared by a new team with the support of the Cultural Affairs Agency of the Government of Japan. Yuko Hasegawa, curator of the main project "Cloudy Forests", art director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, has selected 52 artists from 25 countries. Among others were Olafur Eliasson, Bjork and her ex-husband, American artist Matthew Barney, whom she divorced in 2013, after 13 years of marriage. The Icelandic singer will present a digital project, while Barney and Eliasson are preparing a special work for Moscow.
From among Russian artists, the creative association "Where Do Dogs Run" from Yekaterinburg, the ideologist of the Siberian project "Bystrovka" Alexei Martins, the sculptor-jeweler Dashi Namdakov, a member of the experimental laboratory Urban Fauna Laboratory Anastasia Potemkina, a graduate of "Free Workshops" Ilya Fedotov were invited to participate. Fedorov and sound and media artist Valya Fetisov.
The Moscow Biennale will last for four months: from September 19, 2017 to January 18, 2018 at the New Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val.
