The coronavirus pandemic has forced many to abandon their plans and get used to a new life in quarantine. The British royal family was also forced to reconsider their plans. Elizabeth II and Prince Philip went to Windsor, where they will spend this troubled time.

The Queen of Great Britain has released a message in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic. “As we leave for Windsor today, Philip and I understand that many people and families around the world are entering a period of anxiety and uncertainty. We are all advised to change our daily routines and lifestyles for the good of society as a whole, especially to protect the most vulnerable. At such moments, I always remember that the history of our country was created by people who all worked harmoniously, directing their joint efforts for the benefit of a common goal. We all need to stick together now, too,”the Queen said in a statement.

She expressed gratitude to the doctors who are fighting to stop the spread of the viral infection. “Many of us will have to find new ways to keep in touch with each other to make sure everyone we are close to is safe. I am sure we will cope with this mission. And you can all be sure that my family and I are ready to play the necessary role in this,”summed up Elizabeth II.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry supported the queen by posting her message on their Instagram. The Dukes of Sussex have already spoken out about the coronavirus. Prince William also made an appeal in connection with the pandemic.
