A London court has been hearing for the second week in the case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The actor has filed a lawsuit against the tabloid The Sun, who published articles about Depp's beatings of his ex-wife.

Amber said she was a victim of domestic violence four years ago. Johnny himself denies all charges against him. Former lovers of Hollywood stars, Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis, defended him by submitting written statements to the court.

Winona dated Johnny for four years. “Of course I was not there during his marriage to Amber, but from my experience, which was so different, I was absolutely shocked. I was very upset and did not understand how this could have happened,”the actress said in a statement. She emphasized that the very idea of Depp's cruelty does not fit at all with her ideas about him. Moreover, the actor never showed cruelty to her and to any of the other people in front of her. “In fact, I know him as a very good person: incredibly loving and caring. He protected me and all the people he loved. I felt incredibly protected around him,”Ryder shares.

Vanessa Paradis lived with Johnny Depp for 14 years and gave birth to two children. All this time, he never showed himself as a cruel abuser. Vanesa recalled that on the set, the father of her children always had everyone, because he treated everyone with respect. “These outrageous statements are really depressing, and besides that they have damaged his career. Unfortunately, people still continue to believe in these false facts,”the actress complains.
