Video: Meghan Markle Talks About Online Harassment During Pregnancy
Meghan and Prince Harry became heroes of the Teenage Therapy podcast, which was dedicated to World Mental Health Day. In it, the Duchess of Sussex shared that, in her opinion, in 2019, of all the people in the world, she was the most bullied - during the pregnancy of the decree.
“For eight months of this time, I did not even go out, because I was on maternity leave with a child, but the bullying that took place over these months is difficult to survive. You can't even imagine what it would be like,”Megan shared. She added that this situation has caused severe damage to her mental health: "15 or 25, if people tell lies about you, it damages your mental and emotional state."
The Duke and Duchess spoke to three Teenager Therapy anchors Gael, Kayla and Thomas about the need to break the stigma surrounding mental health and how you can contribute to a healthier world: “physically, mentally, emotionally, wholeheartedly”. The Dukes also expressed their belief that it is necessary to filter the information that we consume on the Internet and suppress any attempt to harass a person.
