Modern girls will have completely different role models than you and me. In the wake of feminist movements and women's marches, Mattel has released a collection of Barbie dolls in honor of famous women - as at for March 8th.
The series "Inspirational Women" includes 17 miniature copies - among their prototypes are the famous artist Frida Kahlo, the first woman pilot to cross the Atlantic Ocean, Amelia Earhart, NASA math genius Katherine Johnson, snowboarder and 2018 Olympic champion Chloe Kim and other successful representatives the weaker sex. The characters were selected after a survey of 8,000 mothers, who named the most inspiring historical examples for their children.
