Sorting out Alessandro Michele's references is a thankless task: you still can't recognize all the references, and the creative director of Gucci is never limited to one single cross-cutting theme. At one point it seems that an elf with shining gold ears is walking along the catwalk. In the other, that all this time we had cyberpunk, and the golden eyes and mysterious plates that grow from every second head are gadgets that have long become part of the human body. So, all this time we had a dystopia in front of us? Then it begins to seem that a fashionable production of the Umbrella Academy is being played out in front of the audience - and all the models in near-school costumes and near-superhero masks. At some point, the meticulous viewer, who was trying to figure out what made up of what and where the legs grow from, gave up. And only then begins to enjoy.

All of Alessandro Michele's collections are similar - they are eclectic, a set of well-known and worked-out elements each time shuffled with a set of (always unexpected) new ones. It might get boring if not for the unbridled imagination of the designer. And it is not his talent to create, in addition to his own clothes, his own unified universe. And she appeared from the very first collection, on which Michele worked inside and out. That is, not with the man who started the conversation about new masculinity and gender ambivalence - the new art director managed to correct it to suit his tastes only cosmetically - but with the next one. In that one, the constant characters of Gucci's new era have already appeared: not men and women, but girls and boys. Just children in adult bodies, always playing at something - in important ladies, dressed up in all the best from their grandmother's chest at once; into pirates, into the conquerors of the jungle, about which they read in some book. And in this concept, every Gucci collection looks absolutely perfect. Next fall, kids are playing superheroes, time travelers, princesses and dragons - or elves and trolls, as you wish. The age limit, perhaps, this time is shifting somewhere in the direction of a young adult - some of the elven princes Michele, despite the lace frill on the chest and gilded ears, look like seasoned romantic heroes.look like seasoned romantic heroes.look like seasoned romantic heroes.

In terms of the set of things, we have about the same as always, that is, everything at once, ideologically not connected with each other and not trying to connect. Here is a delicate blouse with a collar and puff sleeves, which turns its owner into a sad and gentle clown. And here are different variations of a classic trouser suit or school uniform. Here are the lace dresses and blouses, and here are the outfits for the hip-hop fans of the 90s who still want to look like their idols once did. Here is a shirt dress made of colorful patches, and here is something almost classically elegant. “Almost” - because the devil is in the details, that is, in the styling, and he is always the most unexpected for Michele. In addition to strange decorations like ear cuffs, sports shields appear on the podium, from which, if desired, you can fold boots, huge bags,in which you can easily carry away from the scene of the crime a body (probably more than one), collars and belts in thorns - and much, much more.
